Upgrading its legacy CAFM system to Wisp provided the client with reliable data, space and emergency planning capabilities.
For years, a client was managing its space and occupancy with a CAFM system that was “very labor intensive and manual,” as described by the vice president of corporate real estate services. “Reporting used to take two weeks. Data is stale in a week, that’s how space planning goes. It needs to be immediate and you get that with Wisp.”
After upgrading to Wisp, the client’s real estate and occupancy data is consistently tracked and reported on to inform strategic decisions about changes in the workplace.
“We saw Wisp, not only as a space planning tool, but a wayfinding capability that can be open to all staff in general. When you have a 500 person trading floor, that capability becomes a necessity.
We are working on a 135 person restack here in our office. Now we can create a scenario with a floor plan. We are assigning future positions and seeing where there might be discrepancies and issues. When its ready, we can create the move list and provide that to IT, movers, whoever might want to see it.
The scenario functionality is very helpful to see directly on a floor plan what the future will look like instead of having to see it in your mind. The process works and the floor plan is automatically updated.
Now, we are working with our Wisp Advisor to create an active shooter emergency plan using the colorizers and drag and drop icons to create an emergency map. We work hand in hand with Gensler to make custom colorizers that are more meaningful to managers.”
